It is very important to know what you are doing when creating your blog. It’s an art to create one, and you have to know how to set it up the right way to get to your main goal: Get free leads using your blog.
You’ll have a long term relationship with your blog, and it’s one of the easiest ways to get free leads if you are on a tight budget.
Having a blog is super important for your MLM business. Here are some reasons why:
- Blogs are easy and free to set up
- Having your own blog helps build your online presence
- You can brand yourself while creating genuine content
- Search engines love blogs! So, you can get free traffic from them
- You can get free targeted leads from your blog
- Blogs are interactive and dynamic. Readers can leave a comment and feedback
- Search engines will show your posts regularly, and it only requires that you work once, and a few hours to create them
This is very powerful and I’m going to show you some strategies to use your blog to get free leads for your MLM.
If you are on a tight budget, having a blog is a great strategy you’ll want to use to get free leads for your MLM.
Let’s get started.
Things you need to AVOID:
You will not use your blog to advertise anything without giving value to your readers. People like to read blogs because they find value in them. So basically it’s either information they are looking for, or entertainment.
So you’ll want to deliver something valuable to your readers and attract them. You can learn how to do this if you check one of my previous posts called: How To Use Attraction Marketing: Secrets Revealed
I had to say it, cause you’ll never make it if you don’t provide value. I’ve said it many times on my posts.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s cover some important points that you don’t wanna skip when creating your blog. You’ll want to chose a topic for your blog considering the following points
- Chose your niche and your market
- What are they looking for?
- What problems can you help them solve?
- What is your field of expertise?
- What goals you want to achieve with your blog?
Once you have answered those questions, you will have a clearer idea on what you should do with your blog and this will be important for the posts you create. It’ll give you ideas on what to write. And you also have to be very clear on what you are doing to attract the people you want.
Depending on your niche and fields of expertise, you can think of more categories and subcategories to come up with the topic of your blog or the title of some of your posts.
Try to build a long list of things that you want to cover. Being sure you are targeting the right audience.
Chose a niche for the title of your blog!
Now let’s move on to what kind of blog you want and their differences:
- A stand alone blog platform such as Wordpress.org
- Hosted blog platform like Blogger.com or Wordpress.com
With a stand alone blog platform you need to buy your domain name and a hosting account. You can get your domain name from www.godaddy.com for 10 USD / yr approximately. And a hosting account from www.Hostgator.com and you’ll pay around 5 USD every month. The cool thing about this platforms is that you have a lot of flexibility and control of your blog.
A hosted blog platform will create a subdomain for you like yourblog.blogger.com. It’s an easier choice, but a Wordpress.org blog is more formal and you can set it up the way you want and you have a lot of control over it.
Chose the one that’s best for you. As a business owner, you would want to chose a stand alone platform instead of a hosted one, but it’s up to you.
Phew.. Ok, now here are some things you’ll want to keep in mind when posting:
- Write with personality. Be genuine and original
- Create good value and content for your readers
- Make your readers take a certain action when they are done reading your posts, like going to your website
- Read other blog posts related to your niche to get ideas on what you can post
- Comment on other blogs you like that are related to yours, but be genuine
- Create articles and press releases that point back to your blog
- Post regularly, 3 times per week
- Ask your readers to leave feedback, write comments, bookmark your page or take a certain action
These are some of the strategies you can implement to get free leads from your blog if you are on a tight budget. But there are still more things you can do! If you wanna learn more strategies, be sure to get your copy of Building On A Budget.
