• copywriting techniques 300x199 One Copywriting Mistake That Will Make Your Readers Toss Out Your ArticleWanna know one easy fixable mistake that a lot of people make when writing their articles, sales letters or ads?

This mistake in copywriting can make your readers toss out your article and stop reading it.

Let’s face it, people don’t have time to read a bunch of stuff, they are just busy with everything going on in their lives, so you have to make your articles appealing to them. Make them easy to read and you will get more people to spend time going through them.

This includes using simple words in your article, and ideas that are easy to understand.

But the mistake I’m talking about is when people write long paragraphs that contain many ideas in it. Which just makes your article look like this:

If you have ever made your customers angry for some reason, whether it’s your fault or not, but you wanna get them back to liking you, you can do the following with a simple sales letter. Offer them a very generous and irresistible offer of your product. Give them a huge discount. For example, you can offer a 80-90% discount of some ebook, or some of your products, and also give them the chance to pick a free copy of another ebook. Something to that effect. No one can resist a generous offer like that, and let’s be honest, it’s hard to be angry at someone that is being nice to you. If applied correctly, you can get them to trust you and like you again, and even make some money in the process.

This doesn’t look too appealing. There is no air in it and it’s just not as easy to read as this one:

See how it changes? Now ask yourself. Which one is more appealing to you? Which one would you rather read?

When arranging your article in many small paragraphs that cointain one idea in it, it just gives air to your article. Makes it easy to read and more appealing to the eye.

I bet you’d rather read small paragraphs than one big mass of words that will just turn you off just by giving it a glance. You wanna make it easy and comfortable for your readers to go through your articles.

Easy right? Instead of one big mass of words, break it down to small paragraphs that contain one idea.

Now here is another way to grab your reader’s attention. It also complements this post. Check it out.

Thanks for sharing. Indeed, long paragraphs are complete turn offs! One has to put double the effort, if not triple, to get a handle on the message.

Amazing how just breaking a long paragraph into smaller ones makes such a difference!

    2. Great tip, Mel. Another one I recently discovered is that the mind starts to lose interest or get tired with lines of words that contain more than about 60 characters.

So if you can combine the two… shorter paragraphs, and no longer than 60 characters per line… that will make it even more super easy to read!

      Thanks again, Mel.
