Having an attractive facebook profile is extremely important to brand you as a leader and attracting targeted prospects. Following the strategies that I’m going to teach you here you will learn how to build your own attrative facebook profile.

But let’s talk a bit about why you should use facebook as a way of generating free high quality leads.

Facebook has more than 200 million active users and more than 100 million users log on to Facebook at least once each day. It is also ranked #4 on Alexa, just after google, yahoo and youtube:

Facebook recieves a lot of traffic from people looking to just hang around, spend time with their friends and communicate, but it is also a place where network marketers dedicate a lot of their time because they understand the power that facebook holds for nertwork marketing purposes and finding high quality leads for their business.

If you want to know how to use facebook the right way to attract prospects to you for your network marketing business, then keep reading and we’ll go over some interesting strategies you absolutely need to know if you want to get the most out of facebook and not do things wrong like most network marketers do.

Most network marketers don’t know how to approach people in facebook. Some of them are too aggressive in their marketing approach and they end up turning people off very easily and quickly.

If you understand how to navigate facebook the right way, and how to approach the right kind of people and know what to say and when to say it, you will find a gold mine of very targeted prospects that will be interested in you and your services.

1.- Create Your Network Marketing Profile On Facebook:

If you already have an account on facebook and you only use it for personal purposes, I would definitely suggest that you change it to be directed to your network marketing business. Keep in mind that it’s against facebook’s rules to have 2 accounts. So you either have to delete your personal account and create a new one strategically designed to target network marketing business, or change your personal account to have a business approach from now on.

If facebook realizes that you have two accounts, they may ban both your accounts, so be careful.

2.- Make Your Facebook Profile Appealing To Other Network Marketers

If you are in network marketing, it’s very important to have an attractive facebook profile that tells others who you are. You want to have an attractive profile because this is the first contact other friends will have with you. This is how you will automatically start to build relationships. Letting them know who you are, what you like and what your passions are is a good idea because some of them will have some similar interests and this by itself helps you build new relationships.

With the attraction marketing model you will have a much easier chance of being attractive to other network marketers out there on facebook. Knowing how to approach them and what information to show is very important. So lets get started building our new attractive facebook profile for network marketing purposes.

2.1.- Your profile picture and photos

If you are in network marketing, your profile picture should always be a picture of you. Not a picture of your business, or you pets, or your car, or some other thing. Take a good picture of yourself and upload it and use it as your profile picture.

It is also important that you upload some photos to your profile. The reason for this is that people will have an actual image of you. Putting pictures of you travelling a lot, enjoying life with your friends or family, is always a great way to set yourself as an attractive network marketer.

Don’t upload all the pictures the same day though. Upload a bunch, and then keep on doing it over time. Because whenever you upload pictures, your friends will recieve a message and this is a good way to get them to click on your profile and watch your pics. It’s a good idea to tell something about your picture and then try to get them to comment on it.

2.2 Filling your information tab and boxes:

Facebook is a social network. So your information should be filled with all your passions, and not only with business stuff. Of course, as a network marketer, it is also important to put information related to your services or expertise. but try to talk more about what you can offer to others, and not about your business directly.

Remember, people don’t care about your business. They already have one! So talk about your services or expertise in network marketing instead. For example, try to tell a story about yourself and why you own your own network marketing business. Your struggles and your success. Don’t just talk about business and try to fill as much information as you can, because your new friends will now have a way to find something in common with you. And since network marketing is all about building relationships, it’s a great idea to fill in most categories.

When entering your information you should do it as keywords. Because each keyword is hyperlinked. This way people can easily find you if they look for people interested in a certain keyword. For example, if they look for football, they may find me on the search results because one of my keywords is football. That’s one of my interests. So be sure to use keywords on your information tab to make it easier for other network marketers to see what you have in common.

When filling your facebook information tab, you will have the opportunity to enter your websites. Once you do that, go to the little information box located to the left side of the page, just below your profile picture and click on the little pencil, just as the image suggests. I recommend to check all the boxes. Networks, Birthday, Hometown and Website of course (I’ll explain why birthday and hometown are important, just keep reading).

This will be visible to others when they check your profile. So it’s very important that you check the Website box.

2.3 Let other network marketers see your birthday and hometown

Something as simple as letting other network marketers see your birthday and hometown can help you build relationships in facebook. When you check the box to let others see your birthday, this information will be shown to all your friends on their home page like this:

Your facebook friend’s birthdays can be found on the right had side of your home page. Just scroll down the page a little until you see the Events box. There you will find the upcoming birthdays.

Birthdays are a nice way of gettin in touch with your friends and write some good thoughts on their wall wishing them a happy birthday. They appreciate this and the gesture is always nice. This is a great way to stand out from other network marketers and be seen as someone that cares about others. You are not being selfish and are looking to build relationships. This is why you are here. Social networks like facebook are places where you have to build relationships and not talk about your network marketing business. Leave that for later, but first, build trust.

When other friends see your birthday I bet you they will leave a message on your wall and this will create an opportunity to build more quality relationships. This is why birthdays are so important.

Also, displaying your hometown is a good idea, since maybe one of your friends is near you and you can have the opportunity to meet each other. That’s another thing in common.

2.4 Let other network marketers see you: Change your privacy settings

You’re in network marketing, so it’s important to let other network marketers see your profile. So be sure to change your privacy settings:

This is one of the reasons why it’s important to change your information and make it appealing to other network marketers. This way they will see you as a serious network marketer and not just a spammer who created a facebook account and has no information in it. Some network marketers won’t even accept friend requests from people who don’t have a profile picture.

3.- Navigating & Understanding Your Facebook Home Page: Network Marketing In Action

Just a little explanation of what you can find on your facebook home page:

3.1.- Update Your Status

The blue rectangle is where you will be able to update your status and all your friends will see this. When you start to add more friends, they will recieve your status updates. So growing your list of friends is very important to get exposure with other network marketers.

Since you are in network marketing, you will have to find people with similar interests. This way, your status updates will mean something to them because you have things in common.

Remember, don’t spam people and act like a normal person. It’s not always about business. It’s about socializing and building relationships.

3.2.- Your News Feed

On the left hand side of your facebook home page you will see your News Feed. These categories will show you what your friends are doing. Your news feed will help you interact with other network marketers and build relationships. Just commenting on what other network marketers say is very important and is something you must do if you want to build relationships.

• News Feed: All your friends activity will be shown here. Links, pictures, videos, etc.
• Network: You will see what other friends in your network are saying.
• Public Pages: If you have joined a public page, you will see its updates.
• Notes: You will see what other friends or network marketers have wrote. Taking time to read them and give feedback or commenting can be a great way to interact. Leaving an intelligent comment about the topic can greatly increase your value to other network marketers.
• Photos: You will see the photos that your friends have uploaded. This is a good way to interact in a more personal way. Leaving a comment on someone elses pictures lets them know that you are taking the time to browse their profile. Showing interest in them will make them show interest in you. It’s also a good idea to check their photos to get to know them better and stablish a good conversation based on common interests.
• Links: People tend to leave links to places they find useful or interesting. Network marketers leave links to their websites or other interesting websites related to network marketing.
• Video: Network marketers or friends upload videos. If you find a good video, leave a comment and tell what your thoughts are about it. Maybe you can contribute with a good idea related to the video. A good comment will always boost your facebook rep.

3.3.- Requests: New friends, Group Invitations, Event Invitations, etc.

On the right hand side of the page, you will see your requests for new friends, event invitations, group invitations, and other requests. Clicking on one of the links will take you to the requests page where you can decide to approve or reject your requests.

If you join groups related with network marketing, you will start to get new friend requests from other network marketers that joined the group, and this is a good way to let other network marketers find you out there on facebook.

3.4.- Your Facebook Applications

On the lower left corner of your facebook profile you will see your facebook applications. There are many applications that you can add to your facebook profile. Here you can manage your photos, videos, events, groups and pages.

• Pages: For your network marketing efforts it is a great idea to create a public pages. They are very similar to profiles, but you can have unlimited fans Whenever you post on your page wall, all your fans will see it and it is also a good way to brand you as a leader.
• Photos: Here you can upload or modify your photos and albums.
• Videos: Here you can upload or modify your videos.
• Groups: Here you will see the list of groups you have joined and you can search for new groups. You can even create your own group. I strongly suggest that you create a new group. Having a group will also brand you as a leader and all the people that join your group will be interested in its content. Be sure to always deliver value. Use Attraction Marketing Strategies.
• Events: Here you will see the upcoming events of the groups you joined.
• Bookmark: This last icon can be modified. If you use an application regularly, you can bookmark it and it will be the last icon you see.

3.5.- Chat Window And Notifications

On the lower right hand side of the page you will see your chat window and your notifications.

Your chat window will show you which friends are currently online and you can start having a conversation with them. It’s a good idea to have conversations every now and then. It’s a good way to get to know your friends better and they will also get to know you more. Eventually, network marketers will ask about your business. This is when you will be able to talk about it, but not before.

Your notifications will show you a list of things like, who has accepted your friend request, who has wrote on your wall, and all the things related to you. You can easily see those activities here.
